About this Community of Practice
Endocrine surgery has genomics rooted in its practice, but the rarity of diseases including phaeochromocytoma/paraganglioma, medullary and anaplastic thyroid cancer increases the risk of delayed recognition and treatment.
This Community of Practice (CoP) will address these challenges by supporting education leading to earlier diagnoses, improving management, and enhancing access to genomic testing.
Key priorities include:
- establishing pathways for identifying genetic diagnoses
- timely therapeutics
- familial counselling
The CoP will also provide a platform for sharing expertise on novel therapeutics, fostering collaboration, and advancing care for these rare conditions.
