  • Regional and national CUP oncologists
  • GPs
  • Histopathologists

About this Community of Practice

Despite advancements in cancer care, cancer of unknow primary (CUP) remains under-explored, with genomic testing, including whole genome sequencing (WGS), offering crucial insights into identifying the primary tumor and actionable mutations.

This CoP aims to support the development of a strategy to implement genomic testing routinely for CUP patients, improving diagnosis and treatment.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, it also aims to expand the use of genomic tools across the region to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Successful implementation of genomic services for CUP will require strong engagement with a number of stakeholders, including:

  • clinical teams
  • research partners
  • patients and patient advocacy groups
