Join the Genomics Education Programme (and us!) on social media from Monday 26 June 2023 for #GenomicsConversation week 2023!
The sixth annual #GenomicsConversation week (opens in a new tab) kicks off this coming Monday (26 June) with a theme of ‘hidden genomics’ to uncover the many ways genomics is shaping patient care.
Run by Health Education England’s Genomics Education Programme (opens in a new tab) (GEP), the week is your chance to spark a conversation about genomics and increase healthcare professionals’ familiarity with the topic.
The week features a number of free activities and resources, including events, podcasts, online courses and educational resources.
Whatever your knowledge and experience of genomics and genetic testing, all healthcare professionals are encouraged to keep up with the week via GEP’s Twitter (opens in a new tab) and Facebook (opens in a new tab). We will also be sharing content form our Twitter (opens in a new tab).
If you want to get involved, you can find ideas and resources here (opens in a new tab). If you already have plans, don’t forget to post on your social accounts using #GenomicsConversation and tag in @genomicsedu and @East_Genomics (Twitter)!
Lunch and learn sessions next week
For healthcare staff who may have little or no knowledge or experience of genomic medicine, we are running two short introductory sessions:

- Genomic Medicine for your Patinets: Seeking support and finding out more (opens in a new tab), 30 June at 12.30 with Dr Gemma Chandratillake
