The Genomics Education Programme (GEP) has launched a new patient survey and are encouraging patients from across the UK with experience of genomic testing to take part.
They want to find out more about patients’ thoughts and experiences of the care and treatment they have received in the lead-up to genetic/genomic testing, during testing, and after receiving their results.
The feedback will be used to improve the education, training, and support that GEP provide for healthcare professionals relating to genomics.
The survey can be found here (opens in a new tab), should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and will run until 31 January 2024.
Patients are asked to reflect on any positive and negative experiences they have had and share the details in the comment boxes provided. All responses will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be anonymised before being published in any subsequent reports.
